We wish a Happy New Year to all of our friends and clients.
Our New Year’s resolutions are to continue pushing the boundaries of high-end garden design, working with the best quality suppliers and being as ecology and environmentally friendly as we can.
There is no doubt that people value their homes and their outdoor spaces even more, after we’ve all lived through numerous lockdown situations. More and more people are now working from home, so want to create garden offices or work-friendly outdoor areas. Creating a truly wonderful and flexible outdoor space can massively expand your living space and how you can enjoy your garden.
Creating indoor/ outdoor spaces that can be used during the winter months, but fully open up during the summer are definitely the most popular request at the moment. Outdoor kitchen areas continue to be popular, with luxury bbq and smokers and wood-fired pizza ovens all very much in demand.
We also pledge to continually improve the ecology of an outdoor space, create habitat for wildlife where ever possible, and be mindful of environmentally-friendly products and recycling in every project.
January is always such a beautiful time in the garden. There is stillness while plants are dormant. The days will get longer and the sunshine will re-appear, and we know that it will explode with growth before long.
Planting seeds
It’s still very early to be thinking about seeds, but chilli plants in particular need a long growing period. January is a great time to sprinkle a few chilli seeds into pots and then inside a heated propagator. Place on the window ledge that gets the most sunlight and wait for germination.

The installation is by Luke Jerram and is called First Breath. Each pulse of light represents the first breath of babies born in Greater Manchester that day.
