About the designer
With a PhD in Biochemistry and a career in academic research, Liv combines her scientific, detail-driven approach with creativity and a love of nature. Inspired by growing her own produce at an allotment, she pursued a career in garden design.
Following extensive study, including RHS Level 2 qualifications, a Diploma in Herbology from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and a Diploma in Garden Design from the Yorkshire School of Garden Design, Liv graduated in 2023.
Passionate about reconnecting people with nature, Liv believes gardens offer beauty, wellbeing and respite from modern life. She draws inspiration from the Peak District, where she lives, walking her rescue greyhounds and exploring the landscape.
