LUXURY LANDSCAPE DESIGN - LANCASHIRE

Modern countryside garden with natural elements

MODERN RUSTIC COUNTRY

The garden brief was simple – to create a modern, rustic garden that is sensitive to the surrounding countryside but nestles neatly within the confines of the farmhouse landscape.

The driveway design needed to be reimagined to allow easy access with combination of traditional clay paving by Vandermoortel as an edging detail to tie back into the brickwork of the farm yard with a contemporary twist.

The rear garden now links perfectly with the renovated and converted farmhouse, complementing the new interiors.

Subtle landscape lighting by HUDSON has been employed to gently light areas of the garden including a formal avenue of trees and bespoke steel steelwork and brick piers.

We designed an outdoor kitchen with bespoke polished concrete worktops and and Alfa Oven covered with a bespoke Farrow and Ball  coated aluminium pergola.

Large format Italian porcelain paving was chosen from Marca Corona in the smaller high usage pedestrian areas to link with the interior flooring.

The covered outdoor living area features a louvred remote control roof by CB  .

The internal wood burning stove from ADEZZ with bespoke flue keeps you warm on chilly evening to watch the outdoor tv and sound system.

Planting includes a small avenue of Sorbus aria Lutescens (White beam tree) to frame views outwards.

Pinus Mugo (dwarf mountain pine) in bespoke farrow and ball bowls elevated on brick piers also make up the scene.

Prunus angustifolia (Chickasaw plum) hedging columns create further formal structure.

Meadow planting to the driveway is a combination pregrown meadow turf anchored by clear stem Prunus Avium (wild cherry) trees which support a host of wildlife and encourage birds to visit the site from neighbouring countryside.
