Modern Countryside Garden in Atherton, Manchester
Blessed with stunning views of countryside this Edwardian house in Atherton, Greater Manchester had recently been modernised and converted.
The new garden design needed to be fit for modern outdoor living and a play space for the grand children and grown ups alike.
We designed an outdoor kitchen with a wood fired Alfa pizza oven on a granite work surface with gas powered beefeater BBQ.
A powder-coated steel clad pergola was installed to reflect the modern interiors and blend with the local landscape character.
Lighting is really important for any garden design, so we installed low level remote controlled Collingwood lighting.
In addition to this, we designed an outdoor studio / tool store / hideout with water supply and additional services.
The planting scheme included an extensive meadow planting scheme to aid biodiversity and allow wildlife to be viewed whilst enjoying the garden.
We recommended a water rill, which draws the eye out to the countryside beyond, reflecting light into the garden at the same time.
A wildlife fence is geometric and contemporary, providing a boundary to stop grazing horses whilst allowing views outwards and the migration of wildlife into the garden.
